Application Process

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology offers two different master programmes in electrical engineering,

  • the International Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and InformationTechnology, IMSEIT (4 semester track)
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, MSEIT (3 semester track)

Both programmes share the same academic curriculum. However, the International Master IMSEIT offers an additional internship module, German language instruction classes and bridging courses designed for the needs of international students.

Please check the recommendations below to see which program is the correct one for you. In case of doubts, which programme actually to choose, please contact the MSE Course Director (master@eit.h-da.de).

Please note, that we must be strict without exception in considering applicants only within the suitable programme.

Which program to choose...

Students from the H-DA which have studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or Mechatronics should apply for the three semester program.

Application is possible for both the winter and the summer semester.

International students from abroad may apply  for the 4 semester program.This program offers an additional industrial placement during the 3rd semester to pave your way for a working contract in Germany. This program offers additional German classes.

Application is only possible for the winter semester.

Students holding a German Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable studies should apply for the 4 semester program.

Application is possible both for the winter semester and the summer semester.
